As reported, A magnitude 6.1 - MINDORO, PHILIPPINES. 2010 March 25 05:29:28 UTC. Philippines Earthquake 2010, March 25 affected West of Manila, the seismology institute reported, causing buildings in the Philippine capital to shake and sending frightened workers out of their offices.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, and no tsunami alert was issued. Buildings in Manila shook for about 30 seconds.

"Essentially, this would not trigger significant damage," said seismology institute Director Renato Solidum.

"It's a moderate earthquake," Delfin Garcia, seismologist at the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, told Reuters.

"We don't expect any damage and it's too weak to generate any tsunami"
