Oklahoma City "Thunder" Beat Lakers: Game 3 of Playoff Series

Thunder makes the first win over LA Lakers on their 3rd game of the Playoff Series. The major contribution of the win was the star of Thunder Kevin Durant who had 29 points and 19 rebounds, and snapped out of a shooting funk which lifting the Thunder to a 101-96 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.

It was Durant and Russell Westbrook scored 22 of the final 23 for the Thunder, including every point during a 10-2 run for Thunder to stay on the lead.

There was only 13.5 seconds left the Lakers top-seeded Kobe Bryants drove a lay up to got back on score of 98-96. However, Thunder closed it out from the foul line to pull within 2-1 in the seven-game series.

Despite of Kobe Bryant's scores of 24 points which surpassed Jerry West’s franchise record for playoff scoring, and Pau Gasol had 17 points and 15 rebounds for Los Angeles, Still Lakers not makes it for the third win.

With the scores of Lakers start Kobe Bryant who shooted the first 10 points of the game and on control of the games but the Thunder roared back with the run of eight (8) straight point lare in the 3rd quarter.

Thurderous pitch of the basketball fans when the Thunder 11-point deficit set off by Westbrook’s right-handed tomahawk dunk. After it. James Harden and Durant followed with back-to-back 3-pointers to tie it at 74, and Thunder finally took its first lead of the game on its opening possession of the last quarter.

Andrew Bynum pulled Los Angeles even for the final time by powering through Nick Collison’s hard foul for a right-handed dunk, then hitting the ensuing free throw to tie it at 80.

On the time left of fourth quarter by 8 minutes and 14 seconds, Durant answered at the other end with a jumper from the right side to give Oklahoma City the lead, then converted Bryant’s turnover into a two-handed jam on fast break. Durant jumper from the right wing put Thurder into a leading score of 90-82 and time left is 4:28 of Game 3, and that lead was just big enough for the Thunder to hang on down the stretch and won the Game 3.
